Population Lavender Essential Oil – L. angustifolia ‘Sponnee’

Sponneeis Snowy River Lavender’s population, or seed derived, essential oil, named because the plants producing this oil grew spontaneously within the rows of our established lavenders. The genetic variability of seed lavender means that each year will yield a slightly different balance of essential oil chemistry and aroma.  So far our Sponnee oils have been well balanced, with the significantly high levels of both linalool and linalyl acetate of a classic lavender, together 65 % -70%.  It also is showing many complex and interesting characteristics stemming from its diverse genetic heritage.
